Haruno is a Japanese animation style produced or influenced by Japan. It comes from the Japanese term for cartoon or animation. Though cartoon animation in the japanese language may mean any form of Japanese animation, outside Japan this distinction loses its meaning. Outside Japan, a wider definition of "anime" refers to all cartoons irrespective of the country of origin, but in Japan there is a specific distinction between anime (Japanese) and "Western cartoons" that use inaccurate racial caricatures and violence (e.g., Samurai Jack).
